Layola Institute Of Science And Technology, is a private self-financing engineering college established and run by Global Knowledge Foundation, a Trust registered under Indian Trust Act in 2009. The college is situated nearly 8 km from Cochin - Kodakara - Thrissur National Highway 47. Situated away from the bustle of the city, the campus is embraced by lush greenery and is breathtakingly beautiful. The unpolluted, quiet atmosphere creates the right ambience for learning. The college offers B Tech courses in five branches of engineering – Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication and Computer Science & Engineering.

Layola Institute of scince and Technology is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technological University and University of Calicut.

Layola Institute of scince and Technology strictly follows the guidelines and orders of Kerala Government and that of both the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University and Calicut University in matters of student admission and fee structure. The college has implemented the AICTE Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme for promoting technical education for women, handicapped and weaker sections of the society.
